MAKE Holi Natural Colors - Ingredients and Tips
How Make Natural Color For Holi:
For dry color:
Ingredients:
⦁ Natural Sindoor or Red Sandalwood Powder (Lal Chandan)
⦁ Refined Flour (Maida)
Method:
Take double quantity of Refined Flour (Maida), add two teaspoons Natural Sindoor or Red Sandalwood Powder (Lal Chandan) to make dry red color. You can use kasturi for fragrance.
For wet color:
Ingredients:
⦁ Boil Beetroot (Chukandar) / Rose Petals /Red Sandalwood Powder (Lal Chandan)/ Red Hibiscus Flowers (Gurhal)
⦁ Refined Flour (Maida)
Method:
⦁ Boil Beetroot (Chukandar) in water or soak overnight in vessel
⦁ Use crushed Rose Petals soaked in water.
⦁ Mix Red Sandalwood Powder in water.
⦁ Red Hibiscus Flowers (Gurhal) soaked in overnight in water.
For dry color:
Ingredients:
⦁ Turmeric (Haldi)
⦁ Gram Flour (Basen)
Method:
Take double quantity of Gram Flour (Basen), add two teaspoons Turmeric (Haldi) to make dry Yellow color. You are using Turmeric (Haldi) in which already contains good fragrance. This mixture is used widely as an ubtan while taking bath which is good for skin.
For wet color:
Ingredients:
⦁ Marigold (Genda) /Turmeric (Haldi)
⦁ Water
Method:
⦁ Boil Marigold (Genda) in water or soak overnight in vessel.
⦁ Mix Turmeric (Haldi) in water.
Ingredients For dry color-
Crushed powder of dried Fenugreek or mint.
For wet color-
Mix the paste of green leafy vegetables. Use few leaves of spinach, coriander, Fenugreek or radish in water to make green colored water.
Brown Color-
Method:
Tea leaves or Coffee boiled in water.
Tea leaves or Coffee boiled in water.
Purple Color-
Ingredients:
⦁ Tesu flowers (Palash)
⦁ Water
Method:
Tesu flowers are soaked in warm water one day before of Holi. On the next day you can used to play Holi.
